WiD Virtual Platform Instructions

Below are step-by-step instructions on how register for the ABX Virtual Experience, and how to find Women in Design offerings on the virtual platform site. You can also view this instructional video

ABX Virtual Experience Registration Process

  • Click to register for the ABX Virtual Experience

  • Choose an (a) ABX All-Access Pass, (b) ABX + IWBC All-Access Pass, or (c) Expo Hall Pass. 

    • With the new virtual format you no longer have to register for individual workshops or programs.

    • You will have access to all live and on-demand workshops and programs through March 31, 2021.  

    • If you do not want to take any educational classes other than the Women in Design Symposium, choose an Expo Hall Pass. 

    • Please note these workshops related to WiD do require an All-Access Pass registration:

      • Path to Change: Advocate for Equity, Diversity & Inclusivity 
      • Who Belongs? Architects’ Role in Equitable, Inclusive Design  
         
  • You will receive an email confirmation from ABX | ArchitectureBoston Expo ([email protected]) confirming your registration. 

  • You will receive a second email within approximately 30 minutes of completing the registration process from our virtual platform vendor, Sector Global, containing the virtual platform login instructions and a customized, pre-populated link. 

    • The email subject line is Welcome to the ABX official meetings platform; the sender and sender email is ABX IWBC Concierge Team at [email protected]

ABX Virtual Platform | Building Your Profile

  • After logging into the platform, you will be taken to your dashboard.

  • Click the three stacked lines in the top right-hand corner of the page and click My Profile

  • On the About Me tab, add your profile picture, any missing company contact details, about us details, social media links, etc.

  • On the My Interests tab, select any additional product categories you may not have selected during registration.

  • On the My Availability tab, check your availability during the event days (Dec. 2-3) for scheduling one-on-on meetings with other attendees/exhibitors. 

Finding the Women in Design Programs

  • Click the Education tab from the top nav bar to open the Education Schedule page. 

  • Scroll until you find the four cards labeled Women in Design Symposium in turquoise. 

    • Women in Design Award of Excellence Ceremony
    • Women Inspire Design 20:20 – WiD Keynote
    • Women in Design Happy Hour
       
  • Click the Add to Schedule button so the workshop is automatically added to your Schedule. This will automatically block out that time as unavailable for meetings / matchmaking.

  • Also click the yellow star in the top right-hand corner of the card so the card automatically appears in your My Favorites tab for easy access. 

  • If you register for an All-Access Pass and want to take classes related to WiD, scroll to find and then star the workshops:

Navigating the Virtual Platform site

  • From the top nav bar (in navy), you can view your inbox, My Schedule, My Favorites, Find Meetings, Exhibitor Directory, Education, Product Showcase.

  • Inbox – contains any meeting requests you have received, any sent invites and any confirmed meetings  

  • My Schedule – find your schedule in 30-minute increments; mark any time conflicts as unavailable. 

  • My Favorites – find any conferences, companies or products that you starred for easy access.

  • Find Meetings – search for exhibitors or attendees by product/services or business type. 

  • Exhibitor Directory – search by company name or product categories.

  • Education – search for educational workshops by on-demand, Wed, Dec 2 or Thu, Dec. 3.   

  • Product Showcase – search for relevant products and services; filter by ABX or IWBC.
