The show was founded in 1986 as BuildBoston at the Copley Hotel. It has since evolved to the World TradeCenter [WTC] and then the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center [BCEC] as it transformed into a magnet for a diverse community where over 8,000 attendees come to meet, greet, learn and celebrate. In 2012, BuildBoston was rebranded as ArchitectureBoston Expo [ABX] and moved to the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center where it continues to be held.
