ABX COVID-19 Update

The ABX team looks forward to hosting ArchitectureBoston Expo 2020, scheduled to take place November 4-5 at the BCEC. As we move toward opening day, we want you to know we are taking every step available to create a safe and secure show experience.

Immediately following Governor Baker’s Reopen Massachusetts plan, we began working with the city of Boston on a plan to safely and effectively host a privately held B2B event.

We will continue to closely monitor the developments of COVID-19, through the advice of public health authorities. The health and safety of the ABX community – attendees, exhibitors, vendors, temporary staff, etc. – continues to be our top priority.

We are highly focused and concerned on proper permission from the Governor and Health Department, the safety plan from the BCEC, and the current state of COVID-19 cases nationwide.

Some important notes:

  • We have a really solid Health & Safety Plan already in place and are waiting to have it vetted by the city/venue/state.
  • We have access to almost the entire facility so we are going to be able to really spread out and practice physical distancing — from workshops being held in larger rooms that will accommodate safe seating arrangements, as well as how we direct the flow of traffic on the expo floor and in the registration area.
  • A Peace of Mind Registration policy will be in place for attendees, allowing cancellations with full refunds at any time, no questions asked.

Attendee registration will open around the first of August, with exhibitor registration opening in late August.

These are challenging and unprecedented times for our community. We appreciate your attention and support during this difficult time and wish those impacted a speedy recovery. ABX will continue to share updated information on this page.
